Mashael AlRajhi's SS16 Show At FFWD

This is the full show of Mashael AlRajhi's SS16 Collection Dichotomy, which debuted at Fashion Forward Season 6 in Dubai.

عرض مجموعة مشاعل الراجحي لربيع وصيف ٢٠١٦ باسم دايكوتمي في الموسم السادس من فاشن فورورد دبي.

The reason I'm supper excited for Dichotomy is not only because it's by one of my friends, but also because I was honored to  have worked with Mashael on styling this collection from the start. It was my 1st job as a consultant and I'm very happy and proud of the results.

To have to be given free creative decision from the designer to add or eliminate any piece was a gift which showed her trust in my capabilities, but were also a responsibility! Because at the end of the day it is her collection, her aesthetics that have to shine through! So it was my job to tweak the collection in a way that also kept its designer's aesthetics. and thank god it did. 

Proud is what I felt sitting there watching the show.

سبب حماسي لمجموعة دايكوتمي مو بس لان المصممة صديقتي، بس كمان لان كان لي الشرف اني أشتغل عليه مع مشاعل في تنسيق القطع من البداية. كان هذا أول شغل لي كمستشارة وانا جداً مبسوطة وفخورة بالنتيجة.

ان الواحد ينعطي الحرية المطلقة من المصمم بانه يلغي أو يضيف أي قطعة على المجموعة هو بحد ذاته هدية ودليل على إيمانها بقدراتي ولكن في نفس الوقت مسؤولية! لأن المجموعة تحمل اسمها فلازم يبرز التوجه الخاص فيها كمصممة! فكانت  مهمتي اني أعدل على المجموعة بطريقة تحافظ على توجهها كمصممة! والحمد لله ظبط. 

وهذا كان شعوري وأنا جالسة أتفرج على الفاشن شو: فخورة.
